I have finally gotten some photos and info ready to create this page. Hopefully it will bring sweet memories to many of you who have spent time at Ukarumpa. I have not used the web page element before, but am adding an element that allows comments, so hope it works (I'm learning!). Let me know if you recognize anyone (or your favorite motorcycle) in these photos.

1976 Retreat at Training Center

What a fun retreat!! TPing cabins, crab soccer, and a "students" against "staff" mud, shaving cream, etc. free-for-all. Looking at these pictures again, I am not sure who "won"?? Can you identify for me any of the students or teachers? And does anyone remember the appearance at night of "THE GREAT MOGLI" - with streams of fire erupting in the roadway and a shadowy figure that was hotly pursued but was too elusive for any student to catch!!

Lower Oval on a Muddy Day

I still need someone to identify the 3 muddy riders in the top, right photo?? Or any rider in other photos??

I’m playing crab soccer and Eva (Dubert) Burkholder is sitting on the tyre - we were in the same cabin… Definitlt remember chasing Mogili … I don’t think we were the first year to chase it. Such great memories. We were so fortunate to grow up and have such amazing influences in our lives.

I wasn't into motorcycling, but have gone around the track on my horse a few times. Was fun too.

As the Ukarumpa motorcycle mechanic for the last 20 years, I am keenly interested in any pics anybody may have of motorcycling in Ukarumpa at any point in it's history. Especially any of Alex Vincent on his Matchless.

Wow! That brings back memories! Those old scrambles were so much fun! I recognize some of those riders, bikes, and spectators! Thanks for sharing!
